Have you ever looked
at something bright
and had that image
burned in your eyes?

Have you ever
closed your eyes
and found
it still there?

Have you repeatedly blinked
and watched it fade away?

You were my bright point of that day.

You were there when I closed my eyes.





You faded away as a thousand other images flowed past my window seat.
